Consulate Appointment and Last Full Day in Guangzhou!

This morning we had our consulate appointment for Bennett. It's so funny how you spend tons of time on adoption paperwork.. getting everything just right, and then you fly to China and your adoption day and consulate day are basically paperwork free. I'm happy about that. I could not imagine juggling all of the paperwork here.

4 of the six families head to Hong Kong at 3:15 today (I am slightly jealous.) Since our day is basically open to whatever.. I decided to get a head start on packing. I hate packing with a passion! I am super unorganized when it comes to packing in the first place.. I am so thankful that we'll be heading to Hong Kong tomorrow around 3:15 as well. We just have one more stop before we head out.. and that is to pick up Bennett's visa. We'll be traveling with one other family to Hong Kong (which is quite nice!) We'll spend the night at the airport hotel and head home on Thursday. I think it's funny that we'll be leaving on Thursday.. and arrive home on Thursday. Home sounds quite nice right about now.

Bennett has been doing quite well. He gets a little bored sometimes (we do as well.. there's only so much shopping/touring that you can do.) He does do quite well with entertaining himself with a small train that he obtained with his McDonald's happy meal. Hopefully Bennett doesn't think that McDonald's is a norm for the Rohrer family. I'm not a fan of fast food so the only chicken nugget he'll come in contact with in the near future will be the kind that we make at home. Speaking of food, I am craving a nice big ol' healthy salad!
