Hello Beijing!

We made it to Beijing at 2:30 today. I was super excited about landing a half an hour early! We made it through immigration with no issues (the line was rather small) and retrieved our suitcases right away. As we were heading into the main part of the airport.. we were looking for someone who would be holding a AWAA sign. At first we didn't see our guide.. and stood around for about ten minutes. Then Phil said "there she is!" I looked over and it was Joan! Joan had lead our team in May (the missions trip to Gansu.) She was just as shocked as I was. We were told that our guide in Beijing would be someone named Cameron.

After chatting for a bit.. we hung out for a while at the Starbucks waiting for the next group to land.. and then another group. We made it to our hotel about an hour ago. We had to go on a little search for dinner.. since we didn't stop anywhere on the way to the hotel. The Starbucks was out of sandwiches so I settled for the next best healthy thing.. a blueberry muffin. I mean... blueberries are healthy, right?

Well.. we're heading to the Great Wall tomorrow morning.. so I better set up camp. Thanks for all of the prayers! We cannot wait to meet Bennett on Sunday!
