Day 2 at the Orphanage - Second half of the day.

After lunch we had the chance to decorate for the birthday party that we would be holding on Thursday. A lot of the children from the classroom close by watched from the classroom window and from the hallway that connected our rooms together.

After we decorated the classroom our host sat down with all of us to discuss our thoughts so far. We gave him some feedback on how we liked how the rooms were decorated and that we knew that the children were well cared for. Our host told us that “in the last two days, this experience has surpassed our imagination. The kids are so happy and smiles are bigger than we have ever seen.” He also said, “Even though we do not speak the same language, our love for these children breaks those barriers.”
What a great way to end the day!
