So last night Phil and I had the chance to volunteer for America World Adoption and Show Hope at a Casting Crowns concert! Since we had a decent amount of volunteers we were able to work in shifts. The opening act for Casting Crowns was For King and Country.. man that band blew me away! I was amazed by their talent, their performance, and for their passion for Christ. We also had a great time catching up with Phil's cousin and his wife (they are adopting from Ethiopia!) as well as another adoptive parent who helped us out greatly with our adoption (giving medical advice as well as travel advice.) We also met another couple who brought their 12 year old daughter with them (she was adopted from China 10 years ago!) Ella spent the night at Phil's parent's house.. and she did rather well for her first sleep-over! :)
I am also happy to share that we've raised $1,439.00 towards my missions trip to China.. so that means we're at 35.98%! I feel super blessed by my friends and family. Oh and I have 24 yummy cupcakes to make this weekend for my cupcake fundraiser! :) If you feel lead to help me on this journey to China you can donate by going to my fundraiser page.
We all, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed. —2 Corinthians 3:18
