So this past weekend we officially kicked off our new orphan care ministry at church. This Sunday we are meeting with church members to share our heart for adoption, foster care, and orphans. We're looking forward to seeing what God has in store for this new ministry.
We also met with a local orphan care ministry on Tuesday night to see how they do things within their church community. Their main goal as a ministry is to raise funds for families that are going through the adoption process-which is amazing! One of the main things that keep families from adopting is the financial part of it. Yes, adoption is expensive.. but it is well worth it. I love that they are coming alongside of families to bring their little ones home.
