Overcome

It's hard to not be discouraged when you hear about what is going on around the world.  I watched a documentary called "The Drop Box"  which is about a Korean pastor who takes in and raises unwanted babies dropped in a box at his house in South Korea. To say that I didn't shed a single tear during the documentary or feel overwhelmed and sometimes angry.. would be a total lie.

Scripture speaks of justice-
Thus says the Lord: “Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.
Jeremiah 22:3

being a voice for others-
Open your mouth for the speechless Proverbs 31:8

but it also mentions that God has overcome the world.

verb over·come \ˌō-vər-ˈkəm\
: to defeat (someone or something)
: to successfully deal with or gain control of (something difficult)
: to affect (someone) very strongly or severely

33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
So if you're feeling a bit discouraged about your current circumstance (or the current circumstance of others) just know that God has overcome!
