And so it begins... having paperwork sent back to me because it didn't meet the "requirements." Since my employer is based out of the state of Virginia, I had to send off my employment letter to Virginia to have it authenticated. A few years ago (when we first started the adoption process) the state of Virginia didn't have as many guidelines. I browsed VA's website and found the paperwork that I needed to fill out (or so I thought) to have my employment letter authenticated. Well... that was simply not good enough! So we're back to square one with my employment letter. I have to request yet another employment letter from my employer with the "proper" notary seal and all the jargon that goes along with that. Hopefully this issue can be fixed quickly!
On a lighter note.. our last two home studies were moved up to next week! So we should have our home study paperwork by the end of next month!!
