Paperwork updates...

It's strange to think that just a year ago (today) we were in the process of updating our home study. Now we're in the process of a new home study and building a new dossier.

Our background checks came in the mail the other day.. and just today I was able to pick up our medical paperwork along with a reference letter. Vitalchek emailed me today to let me know that our birth certificates had been shipped. All of the pieces to the puzzle are falling into place.

Here's the updated list of documents that I have gathered so far.

Birth Certificates- They are on their way!
Marriage Certificate- Yep.
Employment Letters- Yep. Notarized.
Financial Statement- Yep. Must be notarized.
Physical Exams- Picked them up today! Notarized.
Home Study Report- We have two more visits in March.
3 Reference Letters- We have our 3 reference letters! Must be notarized.
USCIS Approval- Need Home Study. Our Social Worker believes she will have our report finished by the end of next month! When we receive USCIS approval we will have it documented as a "notarized copy of an original."
Police Reports- Yep. Notarized.
Passport Pages- Yep. No notarization required.
Photo Pages- Yep. No notarization required.
Passport Photos- Yep. No notarization required.
Hague Training- Yep. No notarization required.
Home Study Agreement- Yep. No notarization required.
Post Placement Agreement- Yep. No notarization required.

After everything gets the "okay" from our family coordinator, we'll have the documents authenticated in Harrisburg, PA and then they will be sent to the Chinese Embassy in NYC using a courier service to go through yet another authentication process. It's a lot.. I know! But trust me.. it's worth it!
