Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!

We had a adoption fundraiser/garage sale last Saturday. I have trouble being a morning person.. but I somehow found myself out of bed at 5:00am the day of the garage sale. A true miracle! A lot of our friends and family donated some wonderful items. My sister-in-law Kelly set up a lemon-aid stand with my niece and nephew where they sold lemon-aid and cookies! We met a neighbor who lives behind us. She told us that her daughter was adopted from China and she's now ten years old. We also met a guy who has six adopted children. Five of his kids are adopted from Russia, and his youngest daughter was adopted from China. I also met a lady who stopped in and randomly bought our coffee press.. "I don't really need another coffee press, but I would love to help out!" She was a complete stranger! A lot of people offered over the amount that was tagged on the item. God is so good! By the end of the day we raised $443!

Ever since we received Ella's referral paperwork.. I've been impatient. As days turn into weeks and then turn into months, I can't help but be anxious. We've been waiting for our Article 5. According to our agency, it usually takes two weeks to arrive. Last Thursday marked two weeks, and still no word. So... being the impatient person that I am, I sent the Adopted Children's Immigrant Visa Unit an email asking them if our Article 5 could be tracked. They replied asking for our case number and our family name. Guess what? Our Article 5 is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow! :)
